A Full and Unbiased Game Copy Pro Review

This Game Copy Pro review is here to give you the skinny on whether or not gamecopypro is worth your time. Game copy pro is a software program which allows you to back up any game disc you own, be it games for popular systems like the PlayStation, new systems like the Xbox 360, or even obscure systems like the Sega Saturn.

The software is sold with a lifetime upgrade membership, which is an important consideration, and one which other sites will try to get away without offering. As game copying protection continually evolves, it's important for game copying software to evolve and keep pace with it, so having free lifetime updates ensures your gamecopypro software will never become obsolete. This is perhaps one of the most important elements of their service we encountered in this GameCopyPro review.

Game

One curious element of the site is that they also give you access to a downloads database along with your membership. The relevance of doing this somewhat escapes me, as offering downloads all but defeats the purpose of the game copying software. Gamers who wish to copy their games are typically people who want to do things legally and by the books, as the legality of downloading games off the internet is questionable. It is however perfectly legal to copy and backup your games, which is why programs such as this one have continued to increase in popularity over the years. I guess it's a nice bonus, but it still seems to be at odds with the main product.

One element we didn't test out in this Game Copy Pro review is the ability to copy Nintendo DS or GameBoy Advance games, and I question the program's ability to do so. You would need some form of device to enable your computer to read the cartridge, which the software does not come with, not to mention a blank device such as a flash cart to store the image. I would not recommend trying to use this to copy cartridges, as there are much better alternatives out there.

On to the meat of the software, and the most important part of the GameCopyPro review, the software's ability to copy CD and DVD-based games, be they old or new. As devoted gamers and game copy software testers, we have games for every system past and present, and we put them all through the ringer when testing out software such as this.

We made copies for games from 8 different CD/DVD-based video game systems, and then got down to the fun part of these reviews, testing the copies out. We spent a minimum of two hours with each copied game to get a complete sense of how well the original image carried over to the copied disc.

In all cases we came away impressed with the software. Games played exactly as their originals did, with perfect audio (always a major stumbling block of other game copying software), and flawless frame rates and animation when compared to the originals.
